Established as Shizuoka Municipal Sanatorium for tuberculosis
August 1940
Moved to current location. Name changed to Urushiyama-so

Transferred to Nihon Medical Foundation

Transferred to the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Independent as National Sanatorium, Urushiyama-so in August 1947
